Earlier this year, we reported how we’d been spring cleaning at our offices. Well, we are pleased to report that the offices now have their new lease of life and the aroma of paint is gradually subsiding. We are all really pleased with the results. The reason we were undergoing the transformation was as our Fostering Agency (which is based on Kellaw Road, Darlington) expands, we needed the office to reflect the brand values more and cater more readily for the number of people who now visit for training, etc.
At the Acorns, we care for children and young people. We are dedicated to improving their lives when they are unable to live at home with their birth families. Our new, extended training room will deliver training to our foster carers and to our Residential Team too. It’s important that it’s big enough to cater for the expanding team as well as the number of looked-after children that visit us.
One of the final pieces of the jigsaw was completed last week; a play area for our younger visitors. We are really pleased with the result and, judging by how involved these visitors look, they are too!
